Twenty designers will be featured at REdress Raleigh. Fashion collections will include natural dyes, reconstructed and recycled clothing, organic materials, and a variety of innovative green designs. Designers were carefully selected for their creative talents and the concept behind their collections. REdress Raleigh features accessible ready-to-wear green fashion, showing the audience that eco-friendly IS stylish!
REdress Raleigh is being co-produced by Triangle Emerging Green Builders, American Vintage, and MorLove. It will be held from 5:30 – 7:15pm on March 14, 2009. Admission to the RR show is free, but there are seats available for $25 (VIP) and $15 on the website www.redressraleigh.com. REdress Raleigh will also have a store all day at the festival selling items made by members of MorLove as well as eco-friendly clothing from Revamp. Money raised from the sale of items will be donated to the Amani Baby Cottage.
REdress Raleigh is a part of the Hillsborough Street Renaissance (HSR) - a green arts and technologies festival held on March 14, 2009 from 12pm – 10pm featuring live bands, an organic chef cook-off, a BBQ cook off, an alternative fuel vehicle showcase, numerous street vendors, activities for kids, and the Redress Raleigh Eco-fashion show.
HSR is still accepting vendor applications and is encouraging everyone to help make this community festival a successful reality by donating as a Grass Roots donor. Each donor will be honored for their contribution and more details on vendor spaces as well as how to help can be found on the HSR website: www.hsren.org.
Join us for this all-day community festival celebrating music, art, food, and making the world a greener place!
